The peacock flower is native to the West Indies to Mexico. It is a tropical evergreen small tree, and it comes under the cicadas family. The tree has brilliant red-orange flowers and yellow double hoop flowers. Long red pollen is found in the center of the petal. In the tropics, the tree grows up to 15-20 m; the branches of this tree are spread evenly across the same width. In cultivation, it is normally 8-12 inches tall and grows high even after cooling to the ground in the early winter.
